Smoking & Your Skin – The FACTS!

Quite simply, smoking reduces the blood supply to the skin. ONE cigarette can constrict a vessel for up to 90 minutes.
Smoking thins the skin, robs it of vitamin C and ultimately destroys collagen and elastin, the building blocks of your skin.
Smoking can cause and/or exacerbate vertical lines around the mouth as well as slow healing.
Identical twins –one smokes and one doesn’t. The non-smoker will look 10 years younger. So how’s that cigarette working for you?
If you are a smoker or have been and have lines or other skin-related problems, please call SkinMedic at 918-587-7546 for a complimentary skin consultation.
