What can I do about red lines, blotchiness and visible veins on my nose and cheeks?

Spider veins and redness can result from genetics, too much sun, or skin disorders.  Many people also have “brown spots” as well.  One of the most effective treatments for these problems is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), also known as Photofacial.  IPL eliminates the spider veins and skin discoloration without harming the skin and typically also reduces pore size, and tightens the skin in 5 or 6 treatments.

Hi,,will the IPL do the same thing as an acid peel? Just got back from skin Dr. , who said for the brown spots, just do a peel. Yes, I also have the spider veins, which I don’t think will go away with a peel.

Sounds like a fairly easy fix—Intense-pulse-light, AKA IPL, BBL, Photofacial would do the trick. The process has been around since the mid-ninties and produces consistently good results. The treatment can be limited to the nose and cheek area or can be applied to full face. There is typically no downtime, to-speak-of, however aggressive treatment can leave you with blotches, blisters, and/or whelping. Those are extreme instances and can be avoided.
